Technological sophistication has also brought about major changes in the production of news materials. In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of TV services, News Centre brings a report on the evolution in news production.

In facing challenges over the past 50 years, news has undergone transformations and evolution in its products. Among the most notable examples is when the world had to live with a new norm following the COVID-19 pandemic, including RTB news.

The implementation of Sign Language presenters in Berita Perdana is also among the transformations of the News Centre to create an informed and knowledgeable society in line with RTB's slogan 'Sentiasa Bersama Biskita'.

The explosion of new technology has also brought about major changes in the landscape of news broadcasting. To ensure that news remains relevant to current developments, all news products are fully utilising LED panels. The development of new technology has also to some extent changed the channelling of TV news broadcasts just at your fingertips.

As one of RTB's main products, news continuously strives to prove its ability to reach the public in channelling accurate, concise and up-to-date information. This can be seen through audience surveys with news broadcasts continuing to be the premier product that recorded the highest percentage, especially Berita Perdana which is broadcast at 8 in the evening.

Despite the achievements, the News and Current Affairs Division needs to continue to mobilise its energy with quality content and attractive TV presentations to ensure that viewers continue to follow RTB's news broadcasts.

Hopefully, RTB News Centre will continue to be creative and innovative in producing news materials of quality for its viewers.
